What Two-Factor Authentication Does on locotephone
Two-Factor Authentication—often called 2FA or two-step verification—requires two pieces of evidence to prove your identity. On locotephone, the first factor is your password, and the second is a six-digit code generated by an app on your phone or sent via SMS. After you enable 2FA, every time you log in from a new device or after your session expires, our platform asks for both pieces. This means that if someone steals your password, they still cannot access your account without your phone.
We built Two-Factor Authentication into locotephone to protect users who deposit using QRIS, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, or online payment. Once your account has 2FA enabled, all withdrawal requests also require a second authentication code, adding a safety check before funds leave your account. Live-dealer players in Medan, Semarang, and other regions benefit most because their deposits often happen on mobile networks where security risks are higher.
Why locotephone enforces 2FA for live-dealer players
Our live-dealer studios broadcast 24/7 to players across Indonesia. Real money moves in and out of accounts continuously—especially during Liga 1 matches and tournament events like Piala AFF. A single compromised account can lead to unauthorized deposits from the player's linked bank account, or unauthorized withdrawals to a different wallet.
Two-Factor Authentication on locotephone stops both. We see it as non-negotiable for any player who funds a session using a mobile wallet or virtual-account transfer.
How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication on locotephone
Setting up 2FA on locotephone takes less than two minutes. Most players use an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator) because it works offline and generates codes every 30 seconds. SMS-based 2FA is also available but slower if you are playing live-dealer tables and need to re-authenticate mid-session.
- Open locotephone and log in with your email and password.
- Go to Account Settings → Security
- Select Enable Two-Factor Authentication
- Choose Authenticator App (recommended) or SMS
- If you choose Authenticator App, scan the QR code with your phone's authenticator app. If you choose SMS, confirm your phone number.
- Enter the six-digit code shown in your app (or received via SMS) to verify.
- locotephone displays backup codes. Save these in a secure location—they let you recover your account if you lose access to your phone.
- Click Confirm and EnableTwo-Factor Authentication is now active.
Two-Factor Authentication and Live-Dealer Table Access
Once you enable Two-Factor Authentication on locotephone, you can join live-dealer tables in the same way, but with added security. When you launch a blackjack, roulette, or baccarat studio from our mobile app, our platform checks that your session is still valid. If your session expires or you are logging in from a new device, you must enter your 2FA code before the live stream loads.
This extra step takes under 30 seconds and protects against account takeovers. Players who deposit via e-wallet or link a mobile banking wallet benefit most because their payment methods are tied directly to their phone. Two-Factor Authentication on locotephone ensures that even if a malicious actor gains access to your email, they cannot redirect your money without your authenticator app.
Backup Codes and Account Recovery
When you enable Two-Factor Authentication on locotephone, we generate ten backup codes. Each code is a single-use password that lets you log in if you lose access to your authenticator app (for example, if your phone is stolen or the app is accidentally deleted). Backup codes are not time-sensitive and work from any device.
We strongly recommend storing your backup codes in a password manager (such as Bitwarden or 1Password) or a secure physical location. If you use all ten codes and lose access to your authenticator app, contact our support team at the email linked to your locotephone account. Our English-speaking team can help you regain access, but the process involves identity verification and may take several business hours.
Changing or Disabling Two-Factor Authentication
If you want to switch from SMS-based 2FA to an authenticator app, or vice versa, return to Account Settings → Security on locotephone and select Manage Two-Factor AuthenticationYou can change your method without losing your account. Disabling 2FA entirely is possible but not recommended—your account becomes vulnerable to password-based takeovers.
If you disable Two-Factor Authentication on locotephone, we log a security event and send a confirmation email to your registered address. If you did not request this change, reply immediately to alert our support team. We monitor account activity and can reverse unauthorized changes within a verification window.
